ED Holds/Tele RN

Contract Length

13 weeks

Unit / Setting

• ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele
• 60 ED beds at one campus and 31 ED beds at the other
• Float scope includes med/surg/tele/overflow units and EDs as needed

Required Qualifications

• RN
• BLS
• ACLS
• Strong cardiac tele background
• Ability to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters
• Ability to read and interpret strips
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, with 2 max attempts
• Pass a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation

Preferred

• 2 years of cardiac tele experience

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: days or nights
• 36 hours per week
• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Holiday rotation with perm staff
• Ability to self-schedule, though this may change

Additional Details

• Tele position requiring tele skills
• No monitor tech on the unit
• No call required
• Navy scrubs
• Orientation includes 2 shifts to Med/Surg/Tele at the primary campus
• May help with ED patient vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
• Will not be primary RN for ED patient assignment
