Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- Evening shift
- Traditional weekday plus weekend rotation
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license
- Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Preferred
- Travel experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 facility experience
- 2 years of ICU experience
Unit Details
- Mixed-acuity ICU/Progressive Care setting
- Travelers may float to other ICU, Progressive Care, and Med-Surg units
- Patient ratios may range from 1:2 to 1:4 depending on acuity and transfers
Clinical Responsibilities
- Care for ventilated and critically ill patients
- Initiate and titrate IV drips, including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics
- Assist with intubations and line placement
- Monitor patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia
Additional Notes
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
- Local clinicians within 50 miles are subject to a reduced local rate
- Facility may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13-week assignment
