Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS certification
Acute inpatient or hospital experience
Strong de-escalation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPI certification
Adolescent experience

Unit Details

25 licensed beds
Adult and adolescent patients
Common diagnoses include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other behavioral or personality disorders
Locked inpatient unit
Mechanical restraints and seclusion are used rarely
IVs are very rare on this unit

Schedule and Work Expectations

Every other weekend
Every other holiday
Self-scheduling based on seniority
Floating throughout the hospital as helping hands or 1:1 support
2 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Travelers are not usually expected to take charge
Business casual or any scrub color except maroon
RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract
