Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Travel RN needed for a 13-week assignment in the Operating Room (OR).
• Must have experience in all areas of the OR; scrub experience preferred.
• Cross-training to Endoscopy (Endo) required.
• The facility has 11 procedure rooms: 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites, handling about 65 cases daily (25 Endo cases).
• Cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Vascular (excluding open heart surgeries).
• Use of Baxter pumps and robotic systems (Phillips and Dynomap); experience with DaVinci Robot is a significant plus.
• Call schedule includes one weeknight call every 4 weeks (7 PM–7 AM) and one weekend call shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) up to 24 hours per contract.
• Permanent staff require ACLS due to modern sedation practices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
