Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) – Contract Opportunity in Alaska

Location

Sitka, Alaska

Employment Type

Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, mid-shift
40 hours per week
Must be willing to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
Rotate shifts as required

Job Description

Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
Apply principles of radiation protection and exercise professional judgment during procedures
Conduct diagnostic medical radiography within the department and other areas
Maintain patient records and files
Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance program
Assist with general hygiene of the department and self
Work effectively under stress
Perform ancillary duties as requested by supervisor
Follow established policies and procedures
Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles
Work with patients and employees from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or completion of a CT/XR training program
Current ARRT certification in CT and XR
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
Experience as a Radiology Technologist
