Location: York, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Three 13-hour day shifts per week (Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, 6:30 am to 7:00 pm) with possible variable shifts based on census

Job Description

• Provide care appropriate to patients of all ages, including geriatric, pediatric, and general populations
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
• Perform MRI procedures, including protocol development and execution
• Screen patients for contraindications and follow safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and address their concerns with tact and courtesy
• Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
• Ensure safety by explaining protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and alerting staff to potential dangers
• Operate necessary equipment and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Monitor and report equipment status and assist with inventory management
• Perform other related duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
• Associate's degree or certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program

Additional Information

• Timecards must be filled out properly to be processed
• Holiday coverage may be required by call and assistance may be requested during holidays
