Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Critical Care Float (1 year of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Tracheostomy and ventilator experience
- Long Term Care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience
- Trach and vent experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and coordinate care for assigned patients
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and reassess responses to treatment
- Supervise care provided by other nursing personnel
- Document and communicate patient status and care updates to the care team
- Support patient teaching, discharge planning, and safe therapeutic care
- Participate in orientation, meetings, committees, education, and quality improvement activities
Work Conditions
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, and lifting
- May need to lift up to 100 pounds to assist with patient movement
- May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, chemical hazards, and adverse indoor/outdoor conditions
