Overview

• Role: RN, IMCU
• Setting: Intermediate care unit (IMCU)
• Facility type: Short Term Acute Care
• Unit details: IMCU will overflow for CVCU, post ablations, post pacers, and post Angio’s
• Shift: 12-hour days, 0700-1930
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Ratios: 1:3-4
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, but not GTE
• Float: May float within scope, including to West Valley Hospital
• Locals accepted: Yes
• Pending license accepted: Yes

• Block schedule: Not accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• 1 year of Intermediate Care experience
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with Epic
• Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Non-invasive airway management
• Experience with cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other IMCU-level medications)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Conscious Sedation
• Vents
• Experience as a traveler

Patient Population / Clinical Focus

• Acute and chronic respiratory failure
• Sepsis
• Acute and chronic kidney failure
• Metabolic encephalopathy
• Diabetic ketoacidosis
• A Fib
• Heart failure
• GI bleed
• Non-ST elevation myocardial infarct
• Unstable angina
• Drug ingestion/overdose

Additional Notes

• Must have Tele experience
• Travelers are not required to be sheath credentialed or pull sheaths, though knowledge in this area is helpful
