Overview

• Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina

• Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours
• Weekly hours: 36
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs

• Local candidates: Accepted within 60 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year

Preferred Experience

• Community hospital experience

Work Environment

• New unit being built from the ground up
• 18 beds
• Bedside monitoring includes tele, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capability
• Charge coverage is split between stepdown and west unit
• Leadership is available off shift by phone
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage

• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• TB screening and annual TB questionnaire
• Physical exam
• Tdap within 10 years or declination
• Immunity or vaccination documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if applicable for the season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination
• Respirator clearance
• Color blindness testing
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam
• Orientation modules and job description acknowledgment before start
• Badge photo required before start
