Job Opportunity: ECMO Specialist (Registered Nurse)

  • Omaha, Nebraska

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

  • Day shift
  • 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Total 48 hours per week

Job Description

  • Requires 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Accepts first-time travel nurses.
  • Cardio Help experience required.
  • Float to NICU, PICU, CVPICU units as needed.
  • Every 3rd weekend required.
  • Patient ratio: 1:2.
  • Serve as a pump specialist for patients on ECMO (VA ECMO or VV ECMO) for cardiac or non-cardiac reasons.
  • If no ECMO patients, work as bedside nurse in ICU caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients based on unit needs.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
  • Minimum 2 years of ECMO ICU experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Cardio Help experience required
