Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 4 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in Charge nurse roles
- Orthopedics experience
- OB/GYN experience
On-Call Requirement
- On-call availability is required; details to be discussed during the interview
Candidate Eligibility
- First-time travel nurses are welcome
- Local candidates are eligible
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
- Background checks within 1 year, including:
- Social Security Trace
- 7-year County Criminal Check
- National Criminal Check
- FACIS III
- Education verification (diploma or official transcripts) required before start
- Primary source verification of certifications and licenses within 15 days prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming good health and ability to perform job duties (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (can be completed onsite)
- Immunizations and health screenings (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (TDAP within 10 years; TD not accepted)
- Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 1 year; PPD no longer accepted)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines required; boosters and exemptions handled per policy
- Hepatitis B: Completed vaccine series, positive titer, or declination within last year
- Drug screening with negative results within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation materials and sign confidentiality and job expectation forms before starting
- References and employment history verification covering the last 7 years are required but will not delay start if pending; must be completed promptly after start
- Skills checklist must be current within 1 year
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
