Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) - Rochester, New York

Unit and Patient Population Details

Hematology/Oncology Unit: 36 beds, fast-paced, high acuity, includes chemotherapy patients, bone marrow transplant program development, opportunity for cross-training in MICU
Patient population includes those actively receiving chemotherapy, recovering counts, admitted with chemo side effects, and medical patients with underlying cancer diagnoses

Required Background and Compliance Checks

Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
7-year criminal background check (including felony checks) within 3 months of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start, run monthly

Foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable

NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start

Health and Immunization Requirements (Must be completed within 5 days of contract signing)

Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific mask types accepted)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
TB questionnaire (acceptable in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (surface antibody positive titer, completed series, or declination)
- Varicella
Drug screening within 30 days of start (if booked within 30 days)
Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start
COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required

Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgement
