Overview
- Travel/contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Start date: ASAP
- First-time travelers accepted
- May float to like units within scope
- Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend, depending on staffing
- Co-care/virtual nursing model is used on the unit
- Bedside RN and CNA ratio: 1:6
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule and Assignment Details
- On-call not required
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Guaranteed hours: 60 per 2 weeks
- Traveler may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Time off is reviewed individually after offer, and all requested time off must be included with submission

- Medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Surgical cases include colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound
- Medical cases include cancer-related diagnoses, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
