NICU Travel/Contract RN
Overview
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36 or 48
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- Pediatric float pool assignment
- Floating may include PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
- Nights only
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Time off may be approved up to 40 hours; no time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric PACU experience
- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience
Additional Notes
- Clinical review and auto offer
- Must adhere to float policy
- Infant Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending, but it has a cost of $185
