Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period

Assignment Details

• Inpatient rehab primary unit
• May float to other units based on greatest need, including ED for inpatient holds
• Average daily census: 10
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on all shifts
• 12 beds/rooms
• First-time travelers accepted
• No on-call requirement
• RTO limit: no more than 7 days
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Rehabilitation (2 years of experience)
• Rehabilitation experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Focus

• Pulmonary conditions
• Cardiac conditions
• Neuro/CVA
• Orthopedic recovery
• Debility
• Amputation

Key Skills

• Blood glucose monitoring and insulin protocols
• Feeding tube and NG/PEG tube care
• Foley catheter removal
• Blood and blood product administration
• Central line and PICC care
• IV starts and venous blood draws
• Anticoagulation therapy
• Stroke and seizure care
• Mobility, assistive devices, and transfer support
• Wound care and pressure injury prevention
• Oxygen, CPAP/BiPap, suctioning, and nebulizer support
• Patient education and fall/infection prevention
