Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
  • Call required
  • Scrubs provided

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
  • Education verification of highest level completed
  • Negative 2-step TB test, QGOLD, or TSPOT within 1 year of start
  • Required immunizations/vaccinations with valid documentation:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
    • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually

Additional Requirements

  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years
  • Completion of employment application/resume submission
  • Photo for badge identification

Notes

  • Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
  • Some certifications and competencies may be required as applicable (e.g., NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI, Management of Assaultive Behavior)
  • Facility-specific fingerprinting may apply for certain locations (not applicable for this assignment)
