Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Berwyn, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, every other weekend)

Job Description

• Labor and Delivery RN with ability to take post-partum assignments
• Work in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Illinois
• Certifications required at onboarding:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination including booster by September 2025 (declination not accepted in Illinois)
• Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
• Fit test completed
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
• Proof of Influenza vaccination or declination (optional)
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; if positive, chest x-ray within last year (or within 5 years depending on region)
• Proof of Varicella vaccination or immunity
• Physical exam within the last year confirming fitness to work
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Professional Requirements

• Resume and skills checklist updated within the last year
• Two professional references
• Signed confidentiality and proprietary information agreement
• Conflict of interest disclosure form
• Criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• Exclusion checks (EPLS, OIG) within last 30 days, including all aliases
• Integrity and audit services form signed shortly before start
• Core competency exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days, including all aliases
• System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required
• Must be able to work night shifts and every other weekend schedule
• Post-partum care skills are essential
