• 12 hours per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience: 2 years
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Job Summary

Provides clinical nursing care in a hospital setting and is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care
• Assess patient and family learning needs
• Evaluate care and communicate relevant information to support continuity of care
• Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Prioritize care and consult appropriate resources for complex care issues
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Support discharge planning and patient/family advocacy
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and professional growth activities
