RN-Intensive Care Unit - Pediatrics

Overview

• Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 36 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Clinical Nurse providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting.
• This assignment supports a shared staffing model between the Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) and the Pediatric ICU (PICU), with flexibility required to work between both areas.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience) within the last year
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• License: Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Certification: BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

• Pediatric intensive care nursing
• Patient assessment, care planning, patient education, discharge planning, and point of care testing
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and prioritizing care
