Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Coverage: Rotate with staff
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5, occasionally 1:6
Nurse Aides: Yes, generally 3 per day
Floating: Rarely, to medical acute
Orientation: 3 days floor-specific orientation
EMR System: Meditech
Charge Nurse: Provided outside staffing grid except in unusual circumstances
Telemetry: Central monitor available; reading strips not required
Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
Additional Notes: Outpatient area patients may come to the floor to finish treatment if outpatient area closes (7am-7pm)

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Oncology specialty
Travel Experience: At least 1 prior travel assignment required (no first-time travelers)
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) required
- NIHSS preferred
- ONS preferred if interested in chemotherapy administration
Other Requirements: Must be within a 75-mile radius of the facility based on traveler’s driver’s license

This position is ideal for experienced Oncology RNs with prior travel experience seeking a day shift role in a specialized oncology unit.
