Role Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs cardiopulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and patient/family/public education. The role works with inpatients and outpatients of all ages with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities and can perform respiratory care duties in all areas of the hospital.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New York
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• NRP
• BLS
• PALS
• ACLS
• NBRC RRT
• Associate's degree in an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Experience working with neonate patients
• Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience
• Experience with Epic
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate
• 14-panel drug screen completion within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Completed Welle training with Verbal De-escalation bundle training or CPI training
• Permanent address must be included in the profile and must match Driver License/State ID
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment

Additional Notes

• COVID vaccinations are encouraged, but not required.
• Travelers from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties in New York will not be considered for this assignment.
