Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Oregon
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- NICU experience
- Critical care experience
Role Highlights
- Provides respiratory care procedures and protocols, including CPAP/BiPAP, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, ventilator management, pulmonary screens, hemodynamic monitoring, pulse oximetry, and monitoring system setup/use
- May also support pulmonary function testing, SCNY, and endoscopy depending on department needs
- Participates in departmental education, performance improvement, new projects, and other assigned responsibilities
Education
- High school diploma or equivalency is mandatory
- Two years of college education, including an associate degree or bachelor’s degree, is preferred
Additional Notes
- Must work well with patients, physicians, and coworkers
- Must be familiar with hospital ethics, departmental procedures, and policies
