MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position - Greenwich, Connecticut

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

• Shift: Evening, Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (may vary if needed)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Certification in MRI required: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR)

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC only
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC only
• Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO) are not specified as required for this role

Compliance & Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months prior to start; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Verification of education and foreign equivalency (if applicable) required
• Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
• Work history verification required for last 7 years for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start (no annual update required)
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (clean shaven required)
• 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (rapid accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required (no annual update needed)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations/vaccinations:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines; boosters required if titers are low
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, proof of vaccine series, or declination accepted
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history; boosters required if low titer
  • Tdap vaccination highly preferred for certain specialties but not required here
• Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months prior to start; minimum 85% passing score
• Color blind testing required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024; minimum 80% passing score

• Various mandatory training modules and attestations may be required depending on unit assignment; these include but are not limited to:

  • Compliance checklist
  • Stroke education (not required at this facility)
  • CLABSI prevention (not required at this facility)
  • Preventing pressure injury (not required at this facility)
  • Patient transportation with oxygen (not required at this facility)
  • Pyxis ES MedStation modules (not required at this facility)
  • Baxter pump interoperability training
  • Patient bedside rounding (not required for OR, Behavioral Health, Ambulatory, ER/ED)
  • Ventricular assist device awareness (not required at this facility)
  • Blood administration module (not required at this facility)
  • New employee orientation module required by start date
  • 21st Century Cures Act module required for MRI Techs (not required at this facility)
  • Chaperone policy training required as of 5/31/2024
• Attestations can typically be completed via electronic signature

• Maximum 7 days return to office (RTO) required; must be willing to add to end of assignment if needed
