Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Goshen, New York
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care to male juvenile offenders at a secure youth facility. The population consists of youth who may remain in custody until age 21. Nursing duties include medication administration, health condition assessments, maintaining medical inventory (including controlled substances), infection control, preparing clinical and administrative reports, and participating in the medical treatment team. Supervision staff are present during nursing care.

Shift: Overnight, 9pm-7am, Sunday through Wednesday (pass days Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Minimum of 1 year of correctional nursing experience, with correctional experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
