Location
- New Albany, Indiana
Schedule
- 1st shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, and care coordination.
- Uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice to support patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Experience in progressive care unit nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Performs and documents comprehensive patient assessments
- Develops and prioritizes patient care plans
- Implements nursing interventions and therapies within scope of practice
- Communicates changes in patient condition and responds appropriately
- Delegates and oversees patient care tasks
- Supports discharge planning and teaching
- Participates in quality improvement activities and unit-based initiatives
