RN Acute Care / Med-Surg Adult

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Setting: Acute care / Med-Surg adult unit
Employment type: Contract
Shift: 12-hour nights, including weekend rotation; call rotation required with 1 call shift per 2-week period

Overview

This role provides nursing care for adult acute care and Med-Surg patients. The unit is seeing increased census due to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute/chronic illnesses.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Observation experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Schedule Expectations

36 hours per week
Weekend rotation required
Must participate in call rotation and take 1 call shift every 2 weeks when requested due to staffing needs

Housing

Studio apartments and small one-bedroom apartments are available near the hospital for an additional cost
Housing includes Wi-Fi, utilities, on-site laundry, and is fully furnished
No pets allowed

Additional Notes

Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
Colorado CAPS registration is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain
