Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical

Location: Canton, Georgia
Unit: Acute Neuro Unit (612C)
Shift: 12-hour Nights
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care for patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgery, including neurosurgery, neurology, ear, nose and throat surgery, and general surgery.
Care for patients who are ambulatory and able to provide some of their own care, as well as those who are bedridden and require total care.
Continuous assessment of patient needs is required.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Acute Neuro specialty.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certification or competency in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
