Registered Nurse: MS/Tele

Location: Reidsville, North Carolina Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a (shift field lists 19:00-7:30) Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Schedule Notes: EOW rotation; holidays as needed Float: Required. Travelers are subject to float between all facilities in the health system.

Clinical Focus

• Acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Patient diagnoses: acute/chronic respiratory illness; post-op general surgery; post-op general GYN surgery; post-op total knee and hip replacements; orthopedics; acute and chronic pain; active GI bleeding; CHF/pulmonary edema; diabetes (hyper- and hypoglycemic conditions); renal failure; drug overdose
• Other listed patient types: patients with a CIWA score below 7; suicidal patients; arrhythmia; radioactive therapy; uncontrolled or new-onset seizures; stable COVID patients
• IV medication drips that may be administered on department 300: heparin, TNA

Requirements

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Driver's license
• Experience with Epic
