Unit Overview

Neuro-focused unit caring for post-op spine and brain surgery patients, epilepsy monitoring, stroke, encephalopathy, seizures, and Parkinson’s
1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float requirement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit specialty
Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
NIH

Additional Assignment Notes

Traveler may be assigned to an Emergency Team during emergency events and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team until the event passes
By accepting the contract, the traveler agrees to report as assigned during emergency events
