Role Overview

• Travel/Contract MRI Tech in Oakland, California.
• Schedule: 4x10s, with shifts of Sunday 12:30–23:00 or Monday–Thursday 10:00–20:30; Fridays and Saturdays off.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with 5 years of experience.
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MRI).

Job Duties

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures.
• Operate diagnostic MRI equipment.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic MRI and guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
• Educate patients about the procedure, medications or contrast media, and associated biological effects.
• Maintain documentation, inventory, safety standards, and equipment quality control.
• May help orient other staff to the department.

Experience / Skills

• General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
• Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
