CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Independently perform computed tomography (CT) procedures using proper techniques and administration of contrast media.
• Operate CT equipment and perform venipuncture within scope of practice and licensure.
• Coordinate patient flow and CT scanner activities.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition using professional judgment.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed.
• May have on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT RT (R) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Documentation and Compliance

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, national or all states, all counties, and national sex offender registry.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Fingerprinting not required for this position.

Health and Safety

• Physical exam within 2 years indicating fitness to work and free of communicable diseases.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray; annual TB questionnaire if past positive.
• Required vaccinations or immunity attestations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccination series, immune titer, or declination).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months; marijuana panel included; lab confirmation required if instant screen positive.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) not required for this tech position.

Competencies

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam within 2 years.
• Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years.

Other Required Documents

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• E-Verify compliance per contract.
• Proof of name change if applicable.
• Education verification (primary source) for highest level of education.
• Current resume or employment application.
• Skills checklist updated within 1 year.
• Two professional references within 2 years (one must be a manager/supervisor). Employment verification accepted if references unavailable.
• Annual health questionnaire.
• Candidate agreement fully completed prior to documentation due date.
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually.

Additional Notes

• The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts due to low census during the 13-week contract.
• The agreement may be canceled with 2 weeks’ notice without penalty.
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.
