💰 Pay Rate: Up to $97.50 per hour.
🕒 Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Night Shifts

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team at Summa Health – Akron Campus, a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Trauma Imaging, Emergency Department CT, and General Radiography. This role will primarily perform CT imaging while also assisting with general X-Ray procedures as needed.

The CT Technologist will work closely with Radiologists, Emergency Department physicians, trauma teams, and nursing staff to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations following departmental imaging protocols.
• Operate Canon CT scanners and Radiographic X-Ray equipment.
• Perform emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and trauma CT examinations.
• Assist with General Radiography when departmental needs require.
• Perform imaging for Level I Trauma and Emergency Department patients.
• Prepare and safely administer IV contrast according to facility policies.
• Verify patient identity, physician orders, allergies, and imaging history before procedures.
• Position patients appropriately while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Evaluate image quality with the Radiologist and obtain additional images when required.
• Accurately document patient information and completed studies within the Radiology Information System (RIS/PACS).
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and hospital quality standards.
• Assist physicians during interventional or invasive imaging procedures when needed.
• Perform equipment quality assurance and report equipment concerns promptly.
• Maintain excellent communication with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT (R) Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Active Ohio Radiographer License (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
• CT Registry preferred
• Current BLS Certification
• Experience administering IV contrast
• Ability to safely lift and position patients
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety 

Required Experience

✅ Minimum 2 years of CT experience
✅Level I Trauma Center experience (Must be clearly listed on the resume)
✅ Emergency Department CT imaging
✅ General Diagnostic X-Ray experience
✅ Experience operating Canon CT scanners (preferred)

• BLS Certification
• Maximum 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO)
• Candidates requesting more than 7 days of RTO will be automatically rejected
