Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:00 - 6:30)
- Hours per week: 36 hours
- Float requirement: Yes, must float to Maternal Child Health (MCH) units
- Guaranteed hours vary by shift pattern (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts) with weekly hours ranging from 36 to 48
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: typically 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for non-active labor, and up to 1:3 in triage or antepartum
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications required (AHA-approved or equivalent):
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
