Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Indiana, Lebanon

Position Details

Work Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekends in a 6-week period; weekend shift time 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Call-In Policy: If a traveler calls in sick, they must pick up another shift to make up for it
• On-Call: Possibility of being placed on call
• Floating: May be required to float to other units depending on hospital needs
• Local Candidates: Accepted if living within 50 miles radius

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year comprehensive background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Includes Social Security trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, and international criminal checks (if applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license for Indiana with primary source verification
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months, updated annually
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M 1860R or 1860S masks accepted; no PAPRs; no full beards)
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year, renewed annually; if positive, chest X-ray and doctor’s letter required
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation for: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology competency and other profession-specific competency exams with minimum passing scores
• References: Two professional references required
• Skills Checklist: Annual skills checklist completion required
