Location

Salem, Massachusetts

Schedule

32 hours per week
Evening shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Rotating shifts required
Every other weekend required
Floating required

Contract Length

13 weeks

Unit Overview

Adult inpatient psychiatric unit
30 beds
Patient ages: 18 to 65
Patient population includes adults with mental health conditions and some medically acute needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Psychiatric experience within the last year
2 years of psychiatric experience
Experience in an inpatient setting
Experience in charge roles
Proficiency with automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell)
Proficiency with psychotropic medications and their side effects
Competency in care of diabetic patients
Knowledge of legal statuses and laws pertaining to guardianship, healthcare proxy, and court-ordered medication

Free on-site parking
Knowledge of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and regulations is noted in the source
AVADE training and lead EKG training are offered on-site
