Adult Psych RN
Location
- Salem, Massachusetts
Schedule
- 32 hours per week
- Evening shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Rotating shifts required
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Adult inpatient psychiatric unit
- 30 beds
- Patient ages: 18 to 65
- Patient population includes adults with mental health conditions and some medically acute needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Psychiatric experience within the last year
- 2 years of psychiatric experience
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Experience in charge roles
- Proficiency with automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell)
- Proficiency with psychotropic medications and their side effects
- Competency in care of diabetic patients
- Knowledge of legal statuses and laws pertaining to guardianship, healthcare proxy, and court-ordered medication
