CT Technologist (Outpatient) - Contract

Location: Bozeman, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
Hours per Week: 40
On-Call: No call, no nights, no weekends


Job Summary

  • Perform outpatient CT procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment by producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Operate CT scanner, adjust technical settings to optimize image quality and minimize patient exposure.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and maintenance on CT equipment.
  • Assist radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures.
  • Complete all required documentation for exam interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to imaging services.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Montana
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Registered Technologist with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of post-graduation experience in trauma radiology.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
  • Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity required.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.
  • Must be able to work in a busy, sometimes stressful environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Regular and sustained attendance is required.
  • May need to work beyond a standard 40-hour week occasionally.
  • Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
