OR Tech

Overview

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Setting: 22 suites, with capacity to expand to 26 across 3 floors
• Cases: 50–65 cases per day
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technologist license in Washington
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
• ENT experience including FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, soft tissue, thyroid/parathyroid

Preferred Qualifications

• CST national certification is not required, but registration with Washington State is required

Schedule

• 4 10-hour shifts
• Variable days and start times Monday through Friday
• Start times: 0630, 0900, or 1100
• No self-scheduling
• Same start time is kept consistent within the same week
• Later Tuesday and Friday start times for in-services and team meetings

Call

• 1 call total per 4-week schedule
• Weekday call runs from end of shift until 7am the next morning
• Weekend call is 24 hours, from 7am to 7am
• Call is scheduled by the manager
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Call room is available

Floating

• No floating requirements

Orientation

• 2 days with a surgical tech
• Includes HR and OR leadership scavenger hunt

Additional Notes

• Teal scrubs are provided
• Travelers need to bring their own earphones for the first week of orientation
• Parking is paid by the traveler; garage parking has daily and monthly options, and transit is available
