Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – New Mexico

Location

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Primary assignment at one medical campus with required willingness to float to the main campus or other locations as staffing needs require.

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)

Job Summary

Independently practices nursing in the same or similar clinical setting.
Provides routine and complex nursing care.
Develops ability to manage clinical contingencies.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
Meets professional nursing competencies and standards of practice.
Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
