Patient ratio: 1:1

Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling: Set schedules with options for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts (based on availability)
Floating policy: No floating except rarely for COVID-related needs
Trauma Center designation: Johnson County’s only American College of Surgeons verified Trauma Center, equipped for 24/7 life-threatening injury care
New graduates are welcome

Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Hospital-laundered scrubs provided by the department
The unit holds multiple accreditations and certifications including:
- Gold Seal of Approval from JCAHO
- American College of Surgeons Verified Trauma Center
- Advanced Certification in Stroke (Primary Stroke Center)
- Full accreditation in Chest Pain care and treatment
- Blue Distinction Centers for Knee and Hip Replacement and Maternity Care
- Other accreditations in laboratory, cardiac rehab, breast centers, sleep medicine, cancer care, and national quality approval
