Schedule

7PM - 7AM
Every other weekend
No call
No floating

Unit / Setting

Mixed cardiac and medical ICU
Patient types include DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilators
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
Experience with Impellas
Experience with post-op cardiovascular surgeries
Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
One year of experience in a critical care setting
New graduates accepted

Onboarding / Orientation

New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
Completion of organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation is required
Annual competency verification is required
