Job Overview

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
NRP

Unit Details

High-risk labor and delivery unit
Level 3 NICU
Teaching facility with resident coverage
No call required
Self-scheduling
Average daily census: 15
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2

Clinical Focus

Cares for OB patients greater than 20 weeks
Common cases include preeclampsia, GDM, PPROM, multiples, fetal anomalies, and cardiac defects in mother or baby

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Flu vaccine is required during flu season
Scrubs are provided

Get teamwork. Employees were very friendly. Good location.

Cons

Sterile Processing Department was entirely too cold on the night shift to function. Everyone one was doubled up scrub jackets and makeshift scarves.
