Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday, if needed

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• NIHSS
• Ventilator management
• Experience with Epic

Required Experience / Skills

• Emergency department experience with adult patients
• IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and IV vasopressors
• CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
• Care of CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI patients
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Triage and isolation precautions
• Experience with adult/pediatric ED emergencies, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma
• Pediatric spinal cord injury care

Work Setting / Assignment Details

• Adult emergency department
• Floating required within skill set
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
