Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Shakopee, Minnesota
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level 3 Trauma
Beds: 63
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Weekend requirement: Up to every other weekend
• On-call: May be placed on call as needed
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated; scheduler will work with you as best as possible
• Locals accepted: No (must be outside 100-mile radius)
• Pending license accepted
• Return-to-Office restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
• Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Requirements

• Preorientation Modules: Must complete assigned online modules within 72 hours of receiving login; modules take 3-9 hours depending on specialty
• References: Not required for client clearance but must be on file for Per Diem candidates
• Skills Checklist: Annual skills checklist required

• Guaranteed hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty; on-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours
