Job Opportunity: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Caseload: Approximately 10 new patients per week

Job Description

• Provide psychosocial evaluations for pre- and post-liver transplant patients.
• Verify caregivers over the phone.
• Primarily outpatient setting with occasional inpatient evaluations depending on department needs.
• No floating, weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Washington.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker within the last year.
• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Social Security Card (as applicable).
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Education verification required.
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work.
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted).
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted).
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer (declination accepted).
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted).
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations not required.
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months.
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
• WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days for Washington placements.
• WA Nurse Aide OBRA Registry search required for CNAs in Washington (not applicable for LICSW).
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
• Photo for badge not required at this facility.

Additional Notes

• No weekend, holiday, or call duties.
• No floating required.
• Outpatient-based with some inpatient evaluations as needed.
• Candidates with active compact licenses are honored.
• Candidates previously employed at other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible if separated for at least 3 months.
