Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
• Call Requirement: 40-60 hours of call over a 6-week schedule
• Unit: Operating Room with specialty cases including Circulate, General, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver resection
• Special Equipment: DaVinci XI robotic system
• Average Census: 70-80 patients
• Beds: 24
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred but not required
• Locals: Not accepted for this position

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in the following surgical specialties:

  • OB/GYN
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • ENT Surgery
  • Urology
  • Plastic Surgery

• Restrictions:

  • Effective 11/30/2024, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at the facility except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) who are exempt from this rule
• Documentation: Valid driver’s license or passport required as ID
• Mandatory Training Modules: For some roles (e.g., RRT), completion of mandatory online modules prior to orientation is required
• Employment Application: Must be current with full work history and explanations for any gaps over 30 days within the last 7 years
