Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
- Call Requirement: 40-60 hours of call over a 6-week schedule
- Unit: Operating Room with specialty cases including Circulate, General, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver resection
- Special Equipment: DaVinci XI robotic system
- Average Census: 70-80 patients
- Beds: 24
- Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred but not required
- Locals: Not accepted for this position
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience in the following surgical specialties:
- OB/GYN
- Thoracic Surgery
- ENT Surgery
- Urology
- Plastic Surgery

- Restrictions:
- Effective 11/30/2024, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at the facility except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) who are exempt from this rule
- Documentation: Valid driver’s license or passport required as ID
- Mandatory Training Modules: For some roles (e.g., RRT), completion of mandatory online modules prior to orientation is required
- Employment Application: Must be current with full work history and explanations for any gaps over 30 days within the last 7 years
