Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Burbank, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Overview

Outpatient Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse role in an ambulatory cardiology office.
Supports EP Device Division by managing remote reports and alerts.
Provides higher-level patient advice, triages urgent symptoms, and supervises stress tests.
Adult cardiac patients only.
Clinic setting with no weekend or on-call requirements.
No floating between units required.
Locals accepted but not required.
ASAP start preferred, ideally with a 2-week start window.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Valid RN license in California.
Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
Electrophysiology Lab experience.
CVICU experience.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Certifications

BLS (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
ACLS (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
PALS (if applicable)
NRP (if applicable)
Other certifications as required by clinical track or unit.

Compliance & Background Requirements

Government-issued photo ID and Social Security Card (as applicable).
Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
Education verification required (nursing degree).
Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start.
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.

Additional Requirements

Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
Employment application covering at least the last 5 years.
Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable).
Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required.
Epic charting system experience preferred.

Facility & Work Environment

Ambulatory cardiology outpatient clinic.
Use of EPIC electronic health record system.
No weekend or on-call shifts.
No floating to other units required.
