Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (includes 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks)
Call Requirements: None

Unit and Patient Population

• Department: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratios:

  • 4:1 for pod patients
  • 2:1 for critical patients
  • 6:1 for fast track patients
• Patient Types: Trauma, STEMI, psychiatric, cardiac, gastrointestinal, stroke, pediatric, and adult patients
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required prior to submission:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Experience

• Must have Emergency Room experience
• Preferred: Trauma and pediatric nursing experience
• Personality traits: Hard worker, resilient, team-oriented, easy-going

Orientation and Scheduling

• Orientation provided bi-weekly
• No float or call requirements

Dress Code

• Scrubs allowed in any color or print
• Prohibited attire includes non-scrubs, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, hoodies, and leggings

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status
