Unit Profile

The NICU unit also supports coverage in Obstetrics (OB) due to staffing shortages; cross-training in both NICU and OB is required.
Patient population includes neonates; unit may involve care related to OB as well.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Position is located in a teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland).

Travel candidates must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify.

Pros

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

Cons

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
