Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU

Location

Rochester, Minnesota

Job Overview

Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and coordinate transitions of care.
Care for critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability.
Function within a professional nursing practice model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care.
Provide leadership through precepting, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource availability.
Participate in committees or projects as needed.

Contract Details

Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730)
Schedule: Every third weekend required
Floating: Required as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
Minimum 2 years of recent RN travel experience
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
